How this promo reached collectors

Rocket's Hitmonchan #9 is part of Wizards of the Coast's nine-card Best of Game collection. This page is the standard-size gold-foil Winner-stamped print. Winner cards were used in the BattleZone prize program. The planned late BattleZone seasons were canceled after Wizards lost the Pokemon license, but Winner and Jumbo prize-kit cards were distributed. Only Winner-stamped standard-size copies are documented; no non-Winner version is included. The series is documented across 2002-2003. A series or season date is not used here as an exact handout date for this individual print.
